"short_description": "The universal stainless steel sight-glass tap for 6L and 8.5L water filters, for reading the water level in the lower chamber of your stainless steel water filter.",
"description": "The stainless steel viewing tap, universal for 6L and 8.5L water filters, is an accessory that adds both style and function. It matches the design of stainless steel water filters. By replacing the standard tap that comes with your filter, this high-quality stainless steel viewing tap lets you read the water level straight away in the lower tank of your 6 or 6.8 litre stainless steel water filter. That way you know for sure when it is time to refill the upper tank.\n\n#### (Multi)functional\n\nWith most gravity water filters, you have to lift the upper tank to see how much water is left in the lower tank. But a quick glance at the viewing tap is all you need to determine the exact water level in your stainless steel water filter. Ideal for the 6L and 8.5L versions of [Berkey](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/berkey/) and [Pure Filters](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/pure-filters/).\n\nHowever, the stainless steel viewing tap, universal for 6L and 8.5L water filters, also fits most other brands of gravity water filter systems, including [Berkey](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/berkey/) and [Pure Filters](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/pure-filters/), but also British Berkefeld, Phoenix Gravity, Moderna, Alexapure, AquaCera, Patriot Pure, etc.\n\n#### Material of the stainless steel viewing tap, universal for 6L and 8.5L water filters\n\nThe housing is made of stainless steel and includes a glass tube so you can read the water level easily and quickly. This tap with sight glass has a plastic handle (approved for food safety) with 2 positions and a 19 cm sight glass. When it is time to clean your stainless steel water filter, simply remove the tap, take the glass out via the cap at the top and rinse the glass tube with soap and water. Then leave it to air dry.\n\nTake your stainless steel water filter to a \"higher level\" of convenience with the stainless steel viewing tap, universal for 6L and 8.5L water filters!\n\n#### Installation\n\n1. Remove the nut and all 4 parts (cover plates and white rings) from the threaded stem of the tap.\n\n2. Remove the blue protective plastic film from both stainless steel cover plates. Place a stainless steel cover plate and then a white ring on the threaded stem of the tap.\n\n3. Push the threaded stem through the hole in the lower tank of the water filter.\n\n4. Place a white ring and then a stainless steel cover plate on the threaded stem on the inside of the lower tank of the water filter.\n\n5. Secure with the nut. You may need a spanner to tighten it firmly. Alternatively, you can hold the nut on the inside and turn the tap on the outside. Do not overtighten, but it must not leak.",
