"short_description": "A stainless steel tap for Berkey water filters and other brands of stainless steel water filters, which can replace the (plastic) tap that may have been supplied with them.",
"description": "Do you want to avoid plastic parts? Then this stainless steel tap for Berkey stainless steel water filters is ideal. It lets you replace the (plastic) tap that came with your filter, so another bit of plastic is swapped for a stainless steel part.\n\nThis stainless steel tap is of high quality and beautifully finished. It makes your water filter complete. It fits all stainless steel [Berkey water filters (so not the Berkey Light)](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/berkey/) and even the [BOROUX water filters](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/boroux/) (PLEASE NOTE! A stainless steel tap is already supplied with these) and [Pure Filters water filters](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/pure-filters/) (PLEASE NOTE! A stainless steel tap is already supplied with these). But it also fits the stainless steel water filters from British Berkefeld, ProOne, Phoenix, Aqua Logic, Monderma, Newton and more.**\n\n#### Features of the stainless steel tap:\n\n- Made of high-quality stainless steel\n\n- Beautifully polished finish\n\n- Wide opening\n\n- Simple on / off handle position\n\n- Fill a 250 ml glass in a few seconds\n\n- Includes everything you need, such as a nut and silicone sealing rings (everything required for easy installation)\n\n#### A complement to your Berkey or other brand of stainless steel water filter\n\nSo simply order it with your [Berkey water filter](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/waterfilter/filterresultaten/berkey/) or order it for another brand of stainless steel water filter. The tap is a popular addition to a Berkey water filter, which is why we have put together complete sets that include this tap. A set then consists of a water filter, a stand and this tap. Of course, you benefit from a set discount. You can find these good-value sets on our [offers page](https://www.alternatievemiddelen.nl/productcategorie/waterfilters/combideals/).\n\n#### Installation\n\nInstallation is very easy. The tap comes with a nut, 2 silicone sealing rings and 2 stainless steel cover plates. Push the tap through the hole in the lower tank of the water filter. Make sure there is a silicone sealing ring and a stainless steel cover plate on both the inside and the outside. Then screw the nut onto the thread of the tap (on the inside of the water filter) and tighten it well. This last step is very important, because if it is not tightened properly, the tap may leak. So tighten it firmly! You are then ready to use it and can draw water from the water filter.",
