About us

waterfilterhouse.com is the European water filter shop of Alternatievemiddelen.nl B.V., the shop of Tom and Melanie Alaerds in Hegelsom (Limburg, the Netherlands). Since 2017 we have been selling gravity filters and the elements that go in them, and we use them ourselves, every day.

waterfilterhouse.com carries only our water filter range: systems, filter elements, parts, value sets and shower filters. For drinking bottles, vitalisers and sustainable housekeeping, head over to alternatievemiddelen.nl. The same people, the same stock, the same advice.

What we stand for

Tested by us. Every system in the shop is also in use at our own home. If it does not work, we do not sell it.
Honest advice. Not sure? Send us a WhatsApp message. We will recommend what suits you, even if that is the cheaper model.
The only BOROUX dealer in Europe. The successor to Berkey, from the same factory, with public test reports.
Packed by hand. Every order leaves from Hegelsom, with a handwritten card.

The team

Tom answers your questions and packs the boxes. Melanie keeps a close eye on stock and quality.
