Privacy

This is a translation of the Dutch text. In case of doubt, the Dutch text prevails.

Alternatievemiddelen.nl BV, also trading as waterfilterhouse.com, cares a great deal about your privacy. We therefore process only the data we need for (improving) our services, and we handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes. This privacy policy applies to the use of waterfilterhouse.com and the services of Alternatievemiddelen.nl BV offered through it. This privacy policy describes which data about you we collect, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have with regard to the personal data you have provided to us.

Personal data that we process

We process personal data about you because you place an order with us and thus use our services, and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data that we process:

If you have questions about our privacy policy, you can contact us at info@alternatievemiddelen.nl.

About the data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), which security techniques we use and who can see the data.

Web shop software and hosting

waterfilterhouse.com runs on the Lemmid platform of Lemmid B.V. (the Netherlands). The pages and your order are processed on servers in the European Union. Lemmid processes your data only to handle your order and payment and is obliged to take appropriate security measures. All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). The confirmations of your order are sent on our behalf via Lemmid, with transfer@transfer.lemmid.com as the sender.

E-mail

Agrippa For our regular business e-mail we use the services of Agrippa. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent, as far as possible, misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data. Agrippa has no access to our mailbox and we treat all our e-mail traffic confidentially.

Payments

Mollie Payments To handle the payments in our web shop we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address and town of residence details and your payment details such as your bank account, PayPal or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. All the safeguards mentioned above with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Mollie's services for which it engages third parties. Mollie does not keep your data for longer than is permitted under the statutory periods.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide your name and e-mail address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us, so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases WebwinkelKeur may contact you to ask for an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and e-mail address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this data solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties for the delivery of its services; we have given WebwinkelKeur permission for this. All the safeguards mentioned above with regard to the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of the services for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL, DHL, DPD or UPS If you place an order with us, it is our task to have your parcel delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL, DHL, DPD or UPS to carry out the deliveries. For this it is necessary that we share your name, address and town of residence details with PostNL, DHL, DPD or UPS. PostNL, DHL, DPD or UPS use this data only for the purpose of carrying out the contract. If PostNL, DHL, DPD or UPS engage subcontractors, PostNL, DHL, DPD or UPS will also make your data available to these parties.

Purpose of the data processing

General purpose of the processing

We use your data solely for the purposes of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you place. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time, other than at your request, we will ask for your explicit consent. Your data will not be shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations.

Automatically collected data

Data that is collected automatically by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (for example your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with tax and criminal investigations

In some cases Alternatievemiddelen.nl BV may be required by a legal obligation to share your data in connection with a tax or criminal investigation by the authorities. In such a case we are forced to share your data, but we will resist this within the possibilities the law offers us.

Retention periods

We keep your data for as long as you are our customer. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you tell us this, we will also treat it as a request to be forgotten. On the basis of applicable administrative obligations we must keep invoices containing your (personal) data, so we will keep this data for as long as the applicable period runs.

Your rights

Under the applicable Dutch and European legislation you have, as a data subject, certain rights with regard to the personal data that is processed by or on behalf of us. Below we explain which rights these are and how you can invoke them. As a matter of principle, to prevent misuse, we send extracts and copies of your data only to the e-mail address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different e-mail address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of requests that have been handled; in the case of a request to be forgotten we record anonymised data. You receive all extracts and copies of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems. You have the right at all times to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect that we are using your personal data in the wrong way.

Right of access

You always have the right to inspect the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to us. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you, at the e-mail address known to us, a copy of all data with an overview of the processors that hold this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

Right to rectification

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to you or can be traced back to you corrected. You can make a request to that effect to us. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you, at the e-mail address known to us, a confirmation that the data has been corrected.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can make a request to that effect to us. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you, at the e-mail address known to us, a confirmation that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data that we process (or have processed) and that relates to you or can be traced back to you handled by another party. You can make a request to that effect to us. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you, at the e-mail address known to us, extracts or copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed on our instructions by other processors or third parties. In all likelihood we will in such a case no longer be able to continue the services, because the secure linking of data files can then no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In certain cases you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Alternatievemiddelen.nl BV. If you object, we will immediately stop the data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make extracts and/or copies of the data that we process (or have processed) available to you and then stop the processing permanently. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe that it does, please contact us.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. On this page, however, you will always find the most recent version. If the new privacy policy has consequences for the way in which we process data about you that we have already collected, we will inform you of this by e-mail.
