Berkey Fluoride and Arsenic (PF-2) filter elements (2 pieces)

The Berkey fluoride and arsenic (PF-2) filter elements can be added to your Berkey water filter together with Black Berkey elements. These filter elements remove contaminants such as fluoride, arsenic, MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) and other heavy metals. They are screwed onto the Black Berkey purification elements, in the lower chamber of the Berkey water filter. These fluoride and arsenic (PF-2) filter elements therefore work as a post-filter for the Black Berkey elements and are suitable for all Berkey water filter systems.

These Berkey filter elements use a tested method developed to reduce fluoride in drinking water. Berkey developed this filter to address the concerns of the many people who find the addition of fluoride to drinking water unacceptable. In some countries, fluoride has been deliberately added to many municipal water supplies since the 1950s. These filters can therefore be a real help, especially when travelling.

New reports and studies keep appearing on the harmful effects of adding fluoride to drinking water. These Berkey fluoride and arsenic (PF-2) filter elements allow you to reduce the amount of fluoride in water by up to 95%. They have been tested by an independent laboratory, see the laboratory report for more details.

The fluoride and arsenic filter elements last for a maximum of 3,700 litres of water or 1 year, whichever comes first.

Getting ready for use

The first step is priming the fluoride and arsenic filters. It is important that this is done properly, as this also leaves the filters completely clean on the inside.
