Information about the Imperial Berkey Water Filter

Berkey water filters filter out more than 99.9% of chlorine, viruses, bacteria, cysts, medicine residues, parasites and hazardous chemical contaminants. Heavy metals are filtered out by 95% (up to almost 100% even with fluoride and arsenic filters). The essential minerals your body needs are retained.

The Imperial Berkey water filter comes as standard with 2 original Black Berkey filter elements and can be expanded to 6 elements. Black Berkey filter elements use the latest technological developments in water purification. Berkey water filters are therefore regarded as the best and most durable water filter systems on the market and are the best-performing portable water filters. The Black Berkey filter elements have been tested by an independent laboratory to NSF/ANSI standards 42 and 53. See the laboratory report for more details.

The whole unit holds approximately 17 litres of water, more than enough for most needs. You can use the Black Berkey filter elements for several years, so you quickly earn back the cost of the unit compared with other brands of water filters.

The housing is made of polished stainless steel (304), for long-lasting durability.
