The BOROUX Legacy Compact water filter in white comes as standard with 2 BOROUX Foundation Black filters. These BOROUX filters reduce, among other things, more than 99% of chlorine, heavy metals, pharmaceutical contaminants (medicine residues), pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, plastic and industrial contaminants (PFAS), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), microplastics and disinfection contaminants. The essential minerals your body needs are retained.

Seamless integration, revolutionary design

Experience the unique base design – a feature that sets the BOROUX Legacy Compact in white apart in both style and substance. The base of this water filter has been redesigned, so a separate rubber ring is no longer needed and a seamless, modern silhouette has been created. This unique approach not only improves stability and ease of use, but also puts an end to the frustration of rubber edges that stick to surfaces and come loose from the water filter. Enjoy a sleeker look, easier maintenance and improved durability, while at the same time benefiting from unrivalled filter technology.

The material and every component have been carefully chosen. The chambers are made of AISI 304 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance, while a fixed notch in the lower chamber prevents a vacuum from forming. The elegant lid, now with an integrated tab, makes a separate knob unnecessary and gives a seamless look. The assembly process is therefore more streamlined, for a hassle-free installation and convenient use. Unrivalled ease of use, without compromising on style!

Different colour, unique design

The BOROUX Legacy Compact water filter is available in 4 colours. Besides the polished model, it is also available in white, black and sage green. These versions have a high-quality coating (on the outside only), and of course the tap and all other parts come in this colour too. A wonderfully unique design!

BOROUX Foundation Black filters

The advanced filter technology does not just filter the water, it transforms it. By removing more than 99% of harmful contaminants, BOROUX Foundation Black filters make sure your water is as pure and refreshing as nature intended. Every reduction of a contaminant contributes to an improvement in your health and wellbeing!

The filters consist of, among other things, a special mix of activated carbon. The BOROUX Foundation Black filter elements contain silver, an antimicrobial agent, to prevent micro-organisms from affecting the product itself. These filters are not intended to filter micro-organisms.

They are also so powerful that they can remove red dyes from water without removing the useful minerals your body needs.

Test reports and certification

The BOROUX Foundation Black filters have been tested by an independent laboratory (IAPMO R&T Lab NJ, ISO/IEC 17025) according to NSF/ANSI standards 42, 53 and 401. See all test reports for more details; clarity and transparency come first.

BOROUX is NSF/ANSI/CAN-certified by the Water Quality Association (WQA). This important achievement underlines their commitment to delivering safe, high-quality and effective water filtration solutions. This certification is not just a seal of approval: it shows that their products meet the strict standards of NSF International (NSF) and the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), internationally recognised organisations that safeguard public health and the safety of consumer products.

Installation

You can easily put the BOROUX Legacy Compact in white together in a few minutes without tools. The first step is priming the BOROUX Foundation Black filter elements. It is important that this is done properly, otherwise purifying the water takes a very long time. For all information about BOROUX water filters, we refer you to our library, where you will find manuals, instruction videos and answers to frequently asked questions, among other things. If priming with the tap does not work, you can order an automatic primer pump or a manual primer pump from us.

When should you replace the BOROUX Foundation Black filters?

The BOROUX Foundation Black filters have been developed to last for many years. However, we now live in a different time from a few years ago. The number of contaminants has only increased and they have become ever more severe (think of PFAS, or the considerable increase in medicine residues, pesticides and so on). This has an enormous effect on the filters, which is why it is better to replace them a little earlier. We therefore advise replacing the BOROUX Foundation Black filters after 3 years at most with average use and when using tap water. If you use water from another source, we advise replacing them sooner.
