The BOROUX Legacy water filter in sage green comes as standard with 2 BOROUX Foundation Black filters, but you can upgrade it to 4 filter elements. These BOROUX filters reduce, among other things, more than 99% of chlorine, heavy metals, pharmaceutical contaminants (medicine residues), pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, plastic and industrial contaminants (PFAS), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), microplastics and disinfection contaminants. The essential minerals your body needs are retained.

Different colour, unique design

The BOROUX Legacy water filter is available in 3 colours. Besides the polished model, it is also available in white, black and sage green. These versions have a high-quality coating (on the outside only), and of course the tap and all other parts come in this colour too. A wonderfully unique design!

BOROUX Foundation Black filters

The advanced filter technology does not just filter the water, it transforms it. By removing more than 99% of harmful contaminants, BOROUX Foundation Black filters make sure your water is as pure and refreshing as nature intended. Every reduction of a contaminant contributes to an improvement in your health and wellbeing!

The filters consist of, among other things, a special mix of activated carbon. The BOROUX Foundation Black filter elements contain silver, an antimicrobial agent, to prevent micro-organisms from affecting the product itself. These filters are not intended to filter micro-organisms.

They are also so powerful that they can remove red dyes from water without removing the useful minerals your body needs.

Installation

You can easily put the BOROUX Legacy in sage green together in a few minutes without tools. The first step is priming the BOROUX Foundation Black filter elements. It is important that this is done properly, otherwise purifying the water takes a very long time. If priming with the tap does not work, you can order an automatic primer pump or a manual primer pump from us.

When should you replace the BOROUX Foundation Black filters?

The BOROUX Foundation Black filters have been developed to last for many years. However, we now live in a different time from a few years ago. The number of contaminants has only increased and they have become ever more severe (think of PFAS, or the considerable increase in medicine residues, pesticides and so on). This has an enormous effect on the filters, which is why it is better to replace them a little earlier. We therefore advise replacing the BOROUX Foundation Black filters after 3 years at most with average use and when using tap water. If you use water from another source, we advise replacing them sooner.
